Compressed Natural Gas Compressors – Dry Gas VG Series

Compressed natural gas (CNG) compressors, typically considered dry gas systems, ensure high performance, efficiency, and reliability in both energy and industrial applications. Gas is processed and compressed through screw units, increasing the inlet pressure. Their role is to deliver compactness, versatility, and continuous operation, while also optimizing gas density for more efficient storage.

Available with or without an integrated gas treatment system, VG series compressed natural gas (CNG) compressors, designed for dry gas applications, are engineered for a wide range of uses where efficiency, reliability, and optimal compressed gas management are critical.

Main applications include:

  1. Turbine and microturbine feeding: ensuring a stable supply of compressed natural gas for energy production systems
  2. Gas engine feeding: providing reliable compression to support efficient engine operation
  3. Boiler feeding: delivering a steady gas flow for industrial thermal processes
  4. Gas grid injection: enabling safe and efficient integration into distribution networks
  1. The natural gas compressor increases the pressure of incoming compressed natural gas and improves its quality, ensuring suitability for downstream processes
  2. Gas is drawn through a filtration system and regulated via an advanced control unit, while heat generated during compression is dissipated through an efficient cooling system
  3. After compression, the gas is cooled and managed through mechanical, pneumatic, or electric valves and bypass systems, allowing precise capacity control typical of a natural gas screw compressor
  4.  When the system stops, the gas is depressurized and safely transferred to an expansion buffer or discharged, with automatic pressure and speed control
  5. Under proper operating conditions, maintenance intervals can reach up to 8,000 hours, ensuring efficiency, operational continuity, and long-term reliability
